WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE SUPERIOR OUTBACK EXPLORER RANGER GVM UPGRADE?
Superior has engineered the Ranger as a complete system - suspension, steering geometry, braking and chassis support working together.
At the front of the vehicle, Australian-made heavy-duty coil springs are matched with SS400 boxed plate upper control arms, designed specifically to restore correct camber and castor after a 4-inch lift. That matters more than most people realise. Correct geometry means predictable steering, even tyre wear, and a Ranger that still feels stable on the highway.
Shock options are where the kit really shows its touring focus. Buyers can choose Superior’s 2.0-inch remote reservoir shocks, which already offer excellent heat management on corrugations and long-distance touring, or step up to the 2.5-inch 3-way adjustable remote reservoir shocks (coming soon).

The rear setup includes polyurethane bushes, extended shackles, and greasable fixed pins - all chosen to handle real touring weights like canopies, long-range fuel, drawers, and ball weight from a caravan. To support articulation and braking performance, the kit also includes extended braided rear brake lines, maintaining pedal feel and safety when the suspension is working at full travel.
One of the most important (and often overlooked) components is the weld-on chassis brace and repair plate system. Designed to reduce fatigue at known stress points in the Ranger chassis when operating at a higher GVM. If you plan on towing or running heavy touring loads long-term, this is the kind of detail that protects both the vehicle and your investment.

The Outback Explorer kit is engineered to legally support tyres up to 35x12.5R17, with wheel offsets from factory through to +18. Superior includes a CANBUS speedo correction module, calibrated to your nominated tyre size so your speed, odometer, and safety systems remain accurate.
