Does An F-150 GVM Upgrade Increase Towing Capacity?
No. An F-150 GVM (Gross Vehicle Mass) upgrade does not increase your braked towing capacity (BTC) on its own. Factory BTC is 4,500kg, and it stays at 4,500kg across every Offroad Industries GVM upgrade, from Stage 1 through to Stage 6.
A GVM Upgrade Doesn’t Automatically Increase GCM
As a general rule across the industry, a GVM upgrade doesn't automatically increase your GCM (Gross Combination Mass) either. Depending on how a kit is engineered, some GVM upgrades on the market lift the vehicle's on-board weight limit without touching the combined truck-plus-trailer ceiling at all. GVM going up doesn't automatically mean BTC goes up, and it doesn't automatically mean GCM goes up. Neither follows from the other.

F-150 GVM Upgrade Towing Capacity: GCM vs BTC Explained
GCM and BTC answer two different questions. Worth knowing which is which.
GCM is the total weight ceiling for your truck and trailer added together: everything on board plus everything behind you, combined. BTC is a separate, specific rating for how much trailer weight you're allowed to tow, full stop, regardless of what else is going on.
Even though every ORI stage raises GCM, none of them raise BTC. It stays at 4,500 kg from Stage 1 to Stage 6. More GCM headroom means a fully loaded truck can tow at its full 4,500 kg rating without the combination tipping over the combined ceiling. It doesn't mean you're now rated to tow more than 4,500 kg.
