At BAW, we’re proud to stock Tough Dog Suspension – a recognised Second Stage Manufacturer (SSM). This means we can help you up your vehicle's GVM with fully certified components, so you can haul more without risking your roadworthiness. Every Tough Dog GVM kit we offer has been rigorously tested to ensure it meets ADR compliance. Maximize your payload with confidence, knowing you've got the best in the business under your ride!

What is GVM? (Gross Vehicle Mass)

GVM is the total weight your rig can handle, fully loaded, as specified by the manufacturer. Think of it as your vehicle’s weight limit when packed to the brim.

Why upgrade your vehicle's GVM?

Upgrading your GVM means you can carry more weight legally and safely, without breaking any rules or risking fines. When you start adding accessories or loading up for a trip, staying under the original GVM can feel impossible. The payload capacity on most modern 4WDs looks great on paper but gets eaten up quickly by gear, accessories, and passengers.

Why Choose Tough Dog for your GVM?

Tough Dog has been the go-to name in suspension since 1984, leading the field with top-notch components. As a Second Stage Manufacturer (SSM), Tough Dog can develop and federally certify parts to boost your vehicle's GVM. Their kits are extensively tested, not just to meet, but to exceed ADR compliance.

Federal or State Approval?

It depends on whether your vehicle is registered. For never-before-registered vehicles, Federal approval applies, and your GVM kit will include an additional compliance plate. For registered vehicles, the Federal compliance data is combined with a vehicle inspection by an authorised engineer to certify the upgrade. Ready to give your 4WD the boost it needs? Hit us up for Tough Dog GVM upgrades!
