The Tough Dog GVM upgrade is federally approved under VTA-061893. All engineering, testing, and certification completed by Tough Dog (4 Way Suspension Products Pty Ltd). Pre-registration Second Stage of Manufacture (SSM) upgrade — legal across all Australian states and territories. Note: if fitting a bull bar and winch, the separate TDUK-084 kit must be ordered — contact BAW before booking.
Towing capacity remains at OE spec (1300kg braked) under both options. The Tough Dog GVM upgrade increases your legal payload capacity from 1435kg to 1800kg — that's an extra 365kg to play with before you're overloaded.
