Toyota Landcruiser with Jmacx 4200 GVM upgrade and coil conversion. Built for adventure.

Vehicle owner: Don & Wendy Muller

Why did you build a custom 4X4?

We have previously owned 4X4’s and had a very clear idea of what we wanted for our next vehicle. Nothing straight from the factory fitted our lifestyle or requirements.

What was the main reason you built the vehicle? (Work, holidays, retirement)

Tow vehicle, with option to live solo from canopy setup indefinitely.

What made you choose a single cab 79 series?

We only required 2 seats, allowing more space in canopy and better weight distribution without chassis extension. Toyota servicing Australia wide (Old school 70 series).

What was your previous 4WD? Did you perform modifications yourself? If so, what were they?

Toyota Hilux 2009 Dual cab.  Dual Battery, Winch, Rear camping setup, fridge, drawers and water tank.

Why did you choose to look for a business to build your dream 4X4 from scratch?

We wanted a single business to fully manage the process of upgrading all aspects (in house) pre-Rego.

What made you choose BAW with such a large project/investment?

First contact was via JMACX for Coil/GVM upgrade fitment. BAW sent us a product list of recommended upgrades which mirrored ours. Once we met the team at the workshop, we knew immediately that they were the right people to trust with our dream build. They have a passion and integrity in business which is evident from the start.

What was your favourite part of working with BAW? What made the experience unique?

One word - communication!!  We were constantly updated on progress, from parts arriving, to fitment and photos of the dream coming together. Becoming part of the BAW Family was a highlight.

How has having a custom 4X4 built for you (rather than undertaking the project yourself) made adventuring easier?

Having the experience of BAW to suggest ideas and professionally complete the work.

If you could change anything about your build what would it be?

Nothing, 12 months along and I still smile jumping in my truck for the next adventure, or just driving to work.

If you could give one price of advice to someone considering building their dream 4X4 what would it be?

Call the BAW Team, you will not be disappointed!!
